Morning Session: Activity Based Costing (ABC)

Companies must decide between traditional product costing or activity-based costing approaches when implementing firm costing systems. During this session, participants will rely upon case studies to solidify their understanding of the pros and cons of both costing approaches, as well as when each approach is most appropriate.

Afternoon Session: Strategy and Performance Measurement through the Balanced Scorecard

Successful firms are able to link strategy, implementation, and controls through macro and micro performance measures. During this session, our guest speaker will use case studies to present one of the most popular performance frameworks: Balanced Scorecards. Participants will learn how Balanced Scorecards integrate multiple performance measures so that key decision makers have the information they need to develop or revise strategic plans or implementation processes. Participants will also learn how to develop and implement scorecards for clients and their own firms.
