Course Description:

Utilizing Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs) as part of a 1031 real estate exchange provides multiple advantages to owners of investment real estate, including investment diversification, access to institutional-quality investments, and the ability to relinquish property management responsibility. This session will cover the fundamentals of DSTs, advantages and disadvantages, and provide examples of the types of real estate available in a DST structure.

The Presenter:

Jerry Verseput is a Certified Financial Planner (TM) and owner of Veripax Wealth Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisory firm in Folsom, California. Prior to establishing VWM in 2006, Jerry was a senior-level manager at Intel Corporation since the early 1990’s.

In addition to holding the CFP® certification, Jerry holds a BS in Computer Engineering and an MS in Telecommunications Engineering. He is also a member of the FPA (Financial Planning Association), and is registered as an MD Preferred Financial Advisor (a network for medical professionals). With the unique combination of a financial background, technical background, and large-company corporate experience, Jerry is ideally suited for helping professionally-oriented individuals, families and small businesses solve their financial planning and wealth management issues.
