Ethics in Business, Accounting, and Law

This CLE/CPE will examine accounting, legal, and business ethics. We will examine current issues in business and recent pronouncements of the AICPA and ABA as well as other authoritative guidance. Topics include decision-making and recent discussions about shareholder/stakeholder theory.

Presenters

Abbas Ali, Ph.D. joined the School of Business Administration in fall 2013. Previously, he taught for the School of Management at the New York Institute of Technology.  He earned his doctorate degree in Management from the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.  His dissertation addressed Stakeholder Management and he continues to explore stakeholder management and its benefits for businesses.  He has published in such journals as the Journal of Workplace RightsAdvances in Industrial and Labor RelationsJournal of Occupational Rehabilitation, and Monthly Labor Review.

Check with your State CLE Board for rules pertaining to live webcasts. These rules differ from state to state. For example, PA attorneys may earn up to 6 CLE credits per compliance period via live webcasts (or 6 out of 12 credits per year); NJ and DE attorneys may earn up to 12 CLE credits per compliance period via live webcasts (or 12 out of 24 credits per two years).
